bacolod my home
The Masscara Festival has always been one of the best times for one to go to bacolod. aside from the all night parties and the star studded visitors that we have, its the time when all of the people of bacolod forget all their worries and lose all their inhibitions for the time being and of course put on their masscaras. Its funny how at sometimes i can be proud of where i came from and sometimes be ashamed of it. Studying in manila, i had my share of having fun of people not knowing where my hometown is, letting them think of me as probinsyana and uncultured as possible. Bacolod is not that far behind from other cities though, we may onl have 2 malls and one main road but it doenst mean that we cant be as cultured as manila or cebu. and although growth and progress is slow, i believe that raising a family and living a normal and worry-free life, with good food and great friends, what else can you ask for. life here is simple and since its a very small cities, your friends will get you a long way ( friends of friends). the homey feeling is what i will truly miss when i get back to manila again.
